Residual Current Circuit Breakers FI, NFI, RFI2
Residual current circuit breakers – FI, NFI
With a residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) the following protective measures are available: fault protection, protection against fire and additional protection in case of direct contact.
Features
- Isolating function
- Simple and solid assembly to a 35 mm wide mounting rail according
to EN 60715, optional operating position - Additional colour display of the position of main contacts
(red – contacts closed, green – contacts open) - A terminal shape prevents connection of a conductor outside the connection area
Types
- RCCBs are manufactured in two versions in compliance with the EN 61008 standard.
- Type A (designated NFI) – sensitive to alternating and pulsating dc residual operating currents.
- Type AC (designated FI) – sensitive only to alternating residual operating currents of a sine wave form.
Special versions
- Type S: A switch with a delayed break enabling selectivity regarding a general type and a short-time delayed type (type G) connected on the load side.
- Type G: a short-time delayed breaking characteristic (a min. non-actuating period is 10 ms).
- FIR-FIT combination: It is used for a protection in circuits where operational currents are higher than rated currents of residual current circuit breakers.
Residual current circuit breakers with overcurrent protection – RFI2
RFI2 is a combination of a residual current circuit breaker and a miniature circuit breaker. With RFI2 the following protective measures are available: fault protection, protection against fire and additional protection in case of direct contact.
Features
- A built-in protection against overload and short-circuit
- Tripping characteristics B in C according to EN 61009
- Sensitive to alternating and pulsating dc residual currents – type A
- Possibility of sealing in ON or OFF position
- Simple and solid assembly to a 35 mm wide mounting rail according to EN 60715, optional operating position
- Additional colour display of the position of main contacts (red – contacts closed, green – contacts open)
