The Batteries business unit (former ZMAJ) ranks among the European battery manufacturers with the longest tradition. The tradition goes back to 1923. In English, the former company name "ZMAJ" means DRAGON.
Due to our expertise in battery products and quality manufacturing processes (ISO 9001 since 1998) we have evolved into the leading European manufacturer of professional batteries for the electric fence devices and for the traffic signalization market.
We are steadily improving air-oxygen technology for professional batteries for application in agriculture and traffic signalization. Our roadmap of product range, aligned with our customer needs and customer plans, is developed with constant involvement in research and design activities in cooperation with two professional institutes in Slovenia. We are involved in cooperation with the Slovenian Chemical Institute and the Jožef Stefan Institute.
Environment concerns are high on the list of priorities in our company. All technological waste generated in our production processes are collected, classified and properly disposed of.
The Iskra MIS air batteries apply oxygen from ambient air for their operation. Since the operation of the battery depends on ambient matter, these batteries feature extremely high energy density levels - Wh/kg.
Our company manufactures three battery families, namely: COMPACT, AIR-ALKALI, AIR-ACID.
