JOB FAIR 2008
The students association of electrical engineering and computer science organised, for a second year, a JOB FAIR that is also known as »a fair of chances and opportunities«. It lasted four days, from 17 to 20 November 2008. The fair was organised in the hall of the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Ljubljana. Eighteen companies with advanced technology, including our company, participated in the fair. Our aim was to invite students for cooperation with our company in order to get new technical staff, which is important for future development of our company. We represented Iskra MIS and its development and production programmes, and informed students about different ways of cooperation with our company, i.e. professional practice, work via a student employment service, possible scholarship and employment. Students showed great interest for cooperation with the Slovene company having its own development strategy and sales programme. We have already agreed with some third-year students for a six-month obligatory practice.
We also intend to participate in JOB FAIR next year. We would like to thank the representatives of the EESTEC LC Students association again for their kind invitation and for all accompanying activities during the fair.
