Electroplating
The business unit Glinek has a long tradition in galvanic engineering, for it has been in business since 1958, and has continuously developed its know-how base through seeking solutions for orders.
The business unit commands and offers a broad range of services in the field of galvanic engineering and, due to the complexity of solutions offered, ranks the largest service provider in the field of galvanic engineering in Slovenia.
Modern technology
On our scale, the quality is measured by the satisfaction and fidelity of the customer, therefore we continuously expand the range of services and modernise our production. The latest novelties include the construction of automated zinc plating lines with hanging parts, silver plating in drums, and the modernisation of our technological waste water treatment plant.
Long term cooperation
Our efforts are rewarded by successful cooperation with a number of renowned business partners, from Slovenia as well as from Austria, Italy and Croatia.
Concern for the Environment
It is a pleasure for us to outline, within the scope of presentation of the company, our concern for the environment. In its endeavours to reduce harmful impacts of the production on the environment, the company has put special emphasis on the environment aspects for a number of years now.
In the past, galvanic industry was marked as "dirty" industry. This is not true any more. Since 1986, we have a technological waste water treatment plant in operation. We regularly monitor waste water and other monitoring laid down in regulations.
Wastes are sorted and disposed of in compliance with regulations and in ways compliant with environment protection requirements.
As a major provider of galvanic engineering services, we are subject to IPPC pursuant to the Council Directive 96/61/EC concerning integrated pollution prevention and control. We are bound to regularly monitor waste waters in a chemical laboratory; four times a year, the monitor is carried out also by an authorised third organisation, which samples waste water for analysis continuously for 24 hours, and the analysis is then carried out by a public institution. The parameters of waste water are within the limit values specified by regulations for water effluents to water streams.
Likewise, we are bound to monitor production air effluent streams. Waste gas parameters are within the limit values specified by regulations.
Furthermore, we are aware of and comply with the WEEE Council Directive 2002/96/EC. This is a EU directive on the restriction of application and presence of heavy metals and organic compounds in objects for electrical industry, to prevent their propagation to the environment. A similar directive, though more general in nature, which also restricts the incorporation of hazardous substances in objects, is the Council Directive 2002/95/EC. We also comply with this directive.
By the end of 2006, we plan to complete the modernisation of our technological water treatment plant and implement closed technological water circuits and obtain the integral environment protection consent.
Through our modernisation of production processes and education of our staff, we continuously improve the environmental aspects of our business.
